DIRECTORS

            A ten person Board of Directors elected each year by the membership manages the Delta Music Makers Community Band Society.  The Board consists of a President, Vice-President; Treasurer, Recording Secretary, Correspondence Secretary and four members at large.  The Music Director and Assistant Music Director are also on the Board, but may not vote.

The organization is registered as a non-profit, recording society, and has applied for Federal tax exemption status.

MUSIC DIRECTOR

            Founder and resident music director, Mr. Curt Jantzen, was the Fine Arts coordinator for the Surrey School District.  He has a Bachelor of Education degree and a Master of Education Administration, from the University of British Columbia.  Over the past 30 years, he has taught extensively at elementary, secondary and post-secondary levels.  He frequently conducts clinics and workshops at music conferences throughout North America and was the co-chairman of the Surrey Jazz Festival for many years.
